Limited Warranty

Netley Millwork warrants to the original consumer purchaser that our products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for seven years from the date of purchase. Our cabinet hardware carries a limited lifetime warranty, provided it is used as intended in a residential application within Canada. Both warranties are limited, as described below, and are not transferable to later owners.

If a defect appears during the warranty period, a qualified representative will inspect it, and we will then repair or replace the defective product at our discretion. The warranty covers only the parts and materials supplied by Netley Millwork, and it does not cover third-party products such as flooring, tile, sinks, countertops, appliances or plumbing fixtures. In most cases we also cover the labour needed to repair or replace a covered defect, but we reserve the right, at our discretion, to decline to cover labour or associated costs depending on the circumstances of the claim.

1. Natural characteristics of wood. Natural aging, darkening, and variations in colour or grain are normal and are not defects, and neither is normal wear. Joints may also develop small gaps over time as temperature and humidity change. This is part of the normal aging process and is not covered.
2. Environmental changes. Sunlight, smoke and household cleaners can change the appearance of wood over time, which may affect colour match. We'll make every effort to match the appearance of any repair or replacement, but we can't guarantee an exact colour match.
3. Finish Warranty: Finishes. Warranty coverage for painted and varnished finishes is limited. Small cracks, chips or joint separations caused by natural expansion and contraction with humidity changes are not defects and are not covered.
4. Warping and Twisting: Warping and twisting are not covered on solid wood products wider than 24 inches or taller or longer than 48 inches, including panels, doors and coversheets.
5. Cabinet Hardware: The limited lifetime warranty covers defects in material and workmanship, provided the hardware is properly used and maintained. It does not cover normal wear or damage from misuse, abuse or improper installation.
6. Installation, storage and care. The warranty is void if products are modified, improperly installed, or damaged before or during installation (if not installed by Netley Millwork). It also does not cover damage from improper storage, misuse, exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures, significant humidity changes, or incidental wear and tear.

Products not made by Netley Millwork, such as appliances, countertops, sinks and plumbing fixtures, may carry their own manufacturer's warranty. Where they do, the manufacturer's warranty applies first and takes precedence over ours.

Occasionally, identical replacement parts are no longer available for reasons outside our control. In that case, Netley Millwork is not responsible if a replacement part differs from the one originally supplied.

This limited warranty is the only warranty Netley Millwork provides. It replaces all other warranties, whether stated or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law implies a warranty that cannot be excluded, it lasts only for the period the law requires. Netley Millwork is not liable for consequential, special or indirect losses or damages.
